Destination: Skinny

My name's Jenny. I'm just another girl uncomfortable with her body and who's trying to make herself happy by losing her extra weight. I tried this before, neglected my blog (and my diet and my exercising), but this time I'm doing it so that in April when I go to Flordia for spring break, I don't completely hate my body on the beach.

So I'm restarting my weight loss blog, and really sticking to it this time! I could really use the support, so if you're trying to lose weight too, let's help each other and be friends! :)

For every message I'll do 10 crunches and 10 jumping jacks. Keep 'em coming :)

The reasons to drink more water are virtually endless… but some of the key reasons it is important for weight loss are:
Water suppresses the appetite (makes you feel fuller). The same area of the brain that regulates hunger also regulates thirst, so sometimes we get the two confused. Always drink a big glass of ice water about 15 minutes before a meal. This will keep you from overeating or choosing unhealthy options.Water is needed for proper digestion. Your body needs water for it’s organs to function properly. If you don’t drink enough water, your body will take measures to conserve it. Just as water is needed for proper digestion, it is also needed for fat metabolism. The liver metabolizes fat.. without water, the liver cannot function well enough to do this. Drinking enough water causes the body to stop retaining water. Just as when you starve yourself, your body will go into survival mode and cling to fat stores… the body does the same with water. If you don’t drink enough, the body freaks out, thinking it won’t get anymore water, so it clings to what is already inside, causing retention/bloat.
